Who we are
Peptio is an iOS app made by Mikheil Chargazia (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy or your data, email support@getpeptio.com.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter in Peptio is stored in a protected local database on your device, using iOS file protection. It is excluded from device backups. This includes:
- medications and compounds, amounts as you enter them, schedules and reminders;
- doses you log, injection sites, notes and reactions;
- weight, measurements, symptoms, check-ins and other entries;
- photos you take or choose (medication labels, progress photos);
- your profile name, goals and onboarding answers.
We do not have a copy of this data and cannot access, recover or restore it. If you delete the app or use “Delete all my data”, it is gone.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Peptio reads only the data types you allow — weight, steps, sleep and active energy — so they appear next to your own entries. Peptio never writes to Apple Health. Data read from Apple Health stays on your device and is never sent to us, used for advertising, or shared with anyone. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app.
Reminders, Face ID and the camera
- Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No reminder content is sent to a server.
- Face ID / passcode lock is handled by iOS. Peptio never sees your biometric data.
- Camera and photos are used only when you choose to take or pick a photo, and the photo is stored on your device.
Anonymous usage counts
To understand which screens help people and where setup is confusing, Peptio sends anonymous usage counts to our own database (hosted with Supabase in the United States). These are on by default and you can turn them off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Share anonymous usage counts; when off, nothing is sent and any queued counts are deleted.
A usage count can contain only: the name of a screen or step, which setup path was used, whether a step was skipped, a rough count bucket (for example “2–3 compounds”), which of the fixed answers you picked to “What's hard right now?”, whether you allowed notifications, which plan you selected and the outcome on the subscription screen, the app version, and a random install ID created on your device.
It never contains your medications or compound names, amounts, schedules, weight, goals, notes, dates of doses, photos, anything from Apple Health, your name, email or device identifiers. The random install ID is not linked to you, your Apple ID or any other data, and is not used for tracking. Usage counts are deleted after 13 months. Our database does not store IP addresses; our hosting provider's network logs may briefly record the IP address of a request as part of normal operation.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Peptio checks your purchase status on your device using Apple's StoreKit.
Exports
When you export your data (PDF, CSV or JSON) or share a report, the file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send it.
What we don't do
- No account, no sign-in, no cloud copy of your records.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no third-party tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
Your choices and rights
Because your records stay on your device, you control them directly: you can view, edit, export and delete everything inside the app (You › Privacy), and switch off anonymous usage counts. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access or delete data we hold. The only data we hold are anonymous usage counts that we cannot link to you; if you contact us we will help where we can.
Children
Peptio is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change how Peptio handles data — for example if we add optional sync in the future — we will update this policy and the date above before the change takes effect, and explain it in the app where it matters.
